Sorry for the late reply, shame on me for not checking my blog more.
http://www.medinafortexas.com/issues.php has the information you're looking for regarding the property tax. There's a nice PDF with a great deal of information about replacing the Property Tax with a Sales Tax.

I want Debra Medina as governor so much I can taste it! How do we sell this idea to enough people to get them to see beyond all the millions of dollars and the hype of the other professional politicians? I keep reminding them that it will be the number of votes cast and not the dollars spent that elect our next governor. No one is willing to heed this. They have a mindset that money talks! I say the other candidates do nothing but talk. They do NOT act! They pay heed to people who have deep full pockets and make promises to them and ignore the little guy. The big politicians are all about the money! The rest of us do not matter.
I want to know about Debra's plan for a Texas Fair Tax. Is it comparable to the National Fair Tax being bantered around? This is very important to let people know about as they are all pretty fed up with the property taxes year after year and the threats of losing a home for taxes.
Where can this data be obtained?

Random thought, the children (if of sufficient age (middle/high school)) or their watchers need to be responsible too. It always amazes me when people just walk onto a street without any apparent checking for traffic first. It's true that vehicles are supposed to yield to pedestrians, but I'm not staking my life and health on that....
